Liverpool are preparing a British record offer to Newcastle for striker Alexander Isak.
The Merseyside club confirmed to Newcastle its intention to present a record bid for Alexander Isak on Tuesday.The proposal is ready for a £120m package but will only be sent if Newcastle changes their stance; it has always been… not for sale. Newcastle have made it clear that the striker is not up for sale but a final. A decision will be made if the management decides to change their stance. They have also shortlisted Hugo Etikite for the striker position.
Arne Slot has been forced to go to the transfer market to look for a new striker following the demise of Diogo Jota and also the possible departure of Darwin Nunez. They have been busy throughout the window and have already completed the signing of Florian Wirtz for a British record-breaking fee, Flimpong from Leverkusen, and Kerkez from Bournemouth.
They are preparing to start their title defence after tying down Mohammed Salah and Virgil Van Djik to new contracts, but Trent Alexander Arnold left the club for a free transfer.
