Arsenal have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Eberechi Eze.
The deal is reported to be worth £60m plus £8m add-ons. Eze has already agreed to personal terms with the London-based club and will now be subject to medicals later this week. Tottenham Hotspurs were reported close to completing the move but took too long, and now the deal has collapsed. This came after having to deal with Manchester City in the effort to sign Brazil winger Savinho.
Mikel Arteta’s side accelerated the talks for the England winger after Kai Havertz suffered a knee injury, and he is now set to miss an extended period. This helped close the deal for Arteta’s side. Eze started in the 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the opening game of the season and was seen waving Palace fans goodbye as rumours on his future kept on piling.
