Chelsea star Cole Palmer has dismissed reports he might leave the club soon.
The England star has struggled for good performances this season, as he was sidelined for 3 months last year due to a groin injury. Since he came back, he has not performed well, as the club has also been inconsistent, which saw former head coach Enzo Maresca leave the club. Chelsea have struggled since Maresca’s departure, as they are outside the Champions League spot with key games coming up.
Speaking to The Athletic, Palmer insisted he has no plans to leave the club. “Everyone just talks. When I see it [speculation over a move back north-west], I just laugh. Obviously, Manchester is my home. All my family are there, but I don’t miss it. I’ve got no plans to move from Chelsea.” He said.
He also went on to add that they need to add key players: “It has been an inconsistent season for whatever reason. It’s just about, in my opinion, getting the right players in to help us kick on. It’s something we’re working on together. We’re on the same page,” he said.
