Nottingham Forest have confirmed the sacking of head coach Nuno Espirito.
Nuno Espírito took charge for the Forest after replacing Cooper in 2023 and has successfully guided them to return to Europe, where they will compete in the Europa League.He was handed a new contract last summer, but his relationship with the owner reportedly went bad regarding the direction of the club. This came after the sale of some of the key stars from last season.
The club confirmed the news through their social media platforms. “Nottingham Forest Football Club confirms that, following recent circumstances, Nuno Espirito Santo has today been relieved of his duties as head coach. The club thanks Nuno for his contribution during a very successful era at the City Ground, in particular his role in the 2024/25 season, which will forever be remembered fondly in the history of the club.” He said.
Forest currently sit in the 10th position after suffering a 3-0 home defeat to West Ham.
