Manchester United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has backed Ruben Amorim to succeed at the club.

Ruben Amorim was appointed as the head coach to replace Erik Ten Hag last year. Since then he has not lived up to the expectations as United are currently out of European qualifications as they are in 14th place. This comes even after Amorim admitted that United’s problems run deep and it will take much time to finish them. He has not been shy to make big decisions, as he froze Marcus Rashford out of the club, as he said he did not have the right attitude.

Speaking on the progress of United since his takeover, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has backed Amorim to succeed despite his squad being poor. “If I actually look at the squad that is available to Rúben Amorim, I think he is doing a really good job, to be honest. Amorim is an outstanding young manager. He’s an excellent manager, and I think he will be at Man United for a long time”. You are beginning to see a glimpse of what Ruben Amorim can produce. I think you saw a glimpse of it against Arsenal. How many players against Arsenal on the bench did you recognise?”. “Ruben is doing a SUPER job.”. He said.
