Lionel Messi

According to the head of Argentina’s FA, the country’s training facility will be named after Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi. AFA head Chiqui Tapia said on Saturday.

The 35-year-old Messi guided his nation to success at the 2022 World Cup. The forward was exceptional in Qatar, scoring seven goals, including two against France in the World Cup final match, and dishing out three assists. He was also awarded the Golden Ball for being the competition’s top performer. Before Argentina’s match against Panama, Messi fought to contain his tears as they were being serenaded by a large crowd inside El Monumental.

The PSG player answered with a spectacular free kick goal, and Thiago Almada added another. It appeared for a while that Messi would end his career without ever winning a senior-level international medal. The forward for Paris Saint-Germain lost the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil, the 2007 and 2015 Copa America championships, and the 2016 Copa America finals.
