Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Manchester United 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
Marcus Rashford gave United the lead in the first half after Eriksen’s super pass. Arsenal drew level immediately through Martin Odegaard after being set up by Martinelli, and it was level at halftime.
In the second half, Arsenal were awarded a penalty after Havertz appeared to have been fouled, but VAR overturned the call. Substitute Garnacho thought he had won the game for United, only for his goal to be ruled offside. Minutes later, Declan Rice gave Arsenal the lead after his effort deflected off Evans. Gabriel Jesus then finished off well for Arsenal after a counterattack to win the game 3-1.
Speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta said he was proud of his team. “These moments will stick with us, and with the crowd so connected to the team with the big history of these matches, it’s great. The will, the determination of the team, that will to win and go and go and go, I’m so proud of them.” He said.
