Giuliano Simeone then saw his effort blocked by Rice in a goal-scoring effort. Arsenal created half chances, with Gabriel’s long-range effort going high off the post. Bukayo Saka then opened the scoring after meeting a rebound off Leandro Trossard’s effort in the final minutes of the first half.

In the second half, Simeone then had another chance as he rounded off Raya, but Gabriel knocked it out for a corner kick. Antoine Griezmann then saw his effort saved by Raya after a low drive. Victor Gyrokeres then had the chance to ice the game, but his effort went high off the bar. Sorloth then miskicked a chance late in the game as Atletico failed to force extra time.

Arsenal will now face off against Bayern Munich or PSG, who will play tonight in Germany.
