Gabriel jesus (black) after returning to the team

Gabriel Jesus returned to the team on Sunday evening in Arsenal’s comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham.

Gabriel Jesus, who was signed from Manchester City alongside Oleksandr Zichenko at the beginning of the season, was influential for Arsenal before he got injured. Jesus was injured during the World Cup break with Brazil while in training, and it was announced that he would be sidelined for several months.

Arsenal have barely missed him, as they have lost just twice in his absence in games against Everton and Manchester City, as Eddie Nketiah stepped up when needed. They also added Leandro Trossard from Brighton, who has impressed so far and assisted all three goals against Fulham.

Gabriel Jesus’ return is a major boost for Arsenal in their title pursuit this season, and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is happy. “It’s a big boost, the first step today.” Gabi said to me a few days ago: “I’m still missing something.” Yesterday I looked into his eyes, and he said, “I’m ready.” He looks free; he looks ready. To see him there with a smile on his face was a joy. I was really happy for him.
