Chelsea advanced to the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup in America.Enzo Maresca’s side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over North African side Esperance.

In a much-rotated Chelsea side, summer signing Liam Delap registered the first attempt on goal for Chelsea, but his effort was well saved. Josh Acheampong fired a low driving shot in the box, but Ben Said saved the effort. Tosin Adarabioyo opened the scoring for Chelsea with a brilliant header. Liam Delap then added the second for the Blues after a beautiful delivery from Enzo Fernandez, and the striker opened his Chelsea account.

In the second half, Chelsea controlled the tempo of the game with the majority of the ball. Substitutes Andy Santos and Tyrique George combined for the third Chelsea goal, and George scored in what was the last kick of the game. Chelsea will now face off against Benfica in the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup.
