Chelsea defeated Leicester City 3-1 on Saturday evening at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
Chelsea made it three wins in a row after poor performances after the January transfer window. Chelsea played a good game and opened the scoring when former Leicester defender and now Chelsea defender Ben Chillwell scored a brilliant goal to open the scoring. Joao Felix thought he had scored the second but was ruled out for offside. Patson Daka leveled things for Leicester after Felix lost the ball in his own half. As halftime was approaching, Enzo Fernandez beautifully teed up Kai Havertz, who scored to give the Blues a halftime lead.
In the second half, Leicester came searching for a second goal, but Conor Gallagher cleared Madison’s effort off the line. Mudyrk also thought he had scored his first goal for Chelsea, but the offside flag denied him the chance. Mateo Kovacic scored the third goal after being set up by Mudyrk, and Chelsea have now won three games in a row.
Chelsea are still 10th in the Premier League standings with 37 points after 26 games played.
