Chelsea has confirmed the signing of England international Jordan Henderson on a 2-year deal.
The former Liverpool captain has been in England since making his debut for Liverpool against Sunderland in 2008.During his time in Liverpool, he guided the team to a Premier League title in the 2019-2020 campaign under Jurgen Klopp, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, and the League Cup twice as well as the UEFA Super Cup. He is one of the most decorated English midfielders of all time.
Speaking on why he decided to join Chelsea, Henderson insisted it is a great opportunity for him. “Given the size of the club, the manager [Xabi Alonso], who I have great admiration for, and the quality of the players, this was a huge opportunity I couldn’t turn down. For me, it’s about giving everything every single day, both on and off the field, to help the players around me and the team as much as possible. I’m very excited to get going,”He he said.
