Chelsea defeated Greek side Panathinaikos 4-1 in the UEFA conference league on Thursday night.
Joao Felix scored the opening goal for the visitors in a first half that was largely dominated by Chelsea. The homeside team offered little to trouble the Chelsea goal. In the second half, Chelsea came out a different side as Mudryk scored the second goal of the game just minutes after the restart. A few minutes later, Mudyrk turned out to be the provider as Felix scored his second goal of the game to make it 3-0. Christopher Nkunku added the fourth from the penalty to make it 3 goals in 10 minutes span.Panathinaikos pulled one back through Facundo Pellistri, who scored from close range.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca was happy with the performance of his team. “It was a very good performance. I think we struggled a little bit at the beginning of the game. And we adjusted; we struggled off the ball with our pressing; I think on the ball we were quite good—and then we made some adjustments and were much better.” He said.
