Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been named the PFA young player of the season.

Palmer, who was bought for £40 million from Manchester City for Stamford Bridge in the summer, has had an incredible season. In 33 Premier League games, the 22-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided 10 assists. With that, he is now just trailing Erling Haaland in the Premier League scoring standings for this year. When Chelsea play Bournemouth in the season finale on Sunday, the English midfielder will look to close the gap and also attempt to secure European football.

Speaking after securing the award, Cole Palmer said he was happy with the award. “Wow. A big thank you to everyone who voted me the Premier League young player of the season. It wouldn’t be possible without everyone at the club—my friends and my family.” He wrote.
