England defeated Albania 2-0 on Friday evening in Thomas Tuchel’s debut as the manager.
The three lions made a positive start to the Thomas Tuchel era as they largely dominated the game. Harry Kane then scored his 70th international goal as he calmly slotted home to double the England advantage. England now has a perfect record of 7 wins out of 7 in the qualifications.
Thomas Tuchel spoke after the game and heaped praise on Lewis-Skelly. “He is such an open character. He was amazing in camp. Full of confidence, full of humour. You see everything on the pitch and off the pitch. He does it with a natural confidence. That’s how he plays football. Full of courage and quality. He was decisive and opened this game for us.” He said.
