
England suffered a 3-1 defeat to Senegal in an international friendly at the City Ground.
Top scorer Harry Kane broke the deadlock early on in the 7th minute of the game after meeting a rebound off Antony Gordon’s strike. England goalkeeper Dean Henderson made incredible saves to deny Jackson. Senegal drew level when Ismaila Sarr levelled from close range after Kyle Walker switched off at the far post. It was the first goal conceded under Thomas Tuchel.
In the second half, Senegal continues their dominance, and Diarr scores the second goal just past the half-hour mark to bring the lead to Senegal. Mendy made great saves to deny substitutes Bukayo Saka and Morgan Rogers as England searched for a leveller. They had a Bellingham strike ruled out by VAR for handball by Colwill. Sabaly sealed the win for the African giants as the England team received boos from the stadium.
