Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has broken his silence after his red card against Liverpool.

Enzo Maresca was sent off late in their 2-1 win over Liverpool last weekend after his second booking. It was the fourth game in a row where Chelsea have been given a red card after Robert Sanchez against United, Joao Pedro against Benfica and Trevor Chalobah against Brighton. Maresca will watch the game against Nottingham Forest from the sidelines, as he is expected to serve a one-match ban.

Speaking on the sending off, Mresca said it was worth it.”It’s a great feeling. This is my second season at the club, but we’d never won in the last minute at home before,” Maresca said. “The reaction that led to the sending off was instinctive, but maybe it was worth it.” He said.

He also went ahead to talk about the pressure on coaching Chelsea. “We’re talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world, one that has struggled in recent years for various reasons. When I first signed, I felt the pressure of being the only Italian not to have won here (in Italy), but fortunately it hasn’t gone that way. Bringing this club back to the top is a very satisfying feeling.” He concluded.
