Manchester United defender Eric Bailly time at Old Trafford has finally come to an end this summer as the defender has joined Turkish club Besiktas.

The Ivory Coast international was left out of Manchester United pre-season squad and also he was not given a squad number.

It’s understood Bailly has joined Besiktas on a free transfer despite having been contracted at Old Trafford until 2024.

United have been content to remove Bailly from the wage bill and the centre-back has signed a one-year contract with Besiktas.

A statement from the Turkish Super Lig side said: “Our club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the final transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly.
