Manchester City secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League entertaining contest at the Red Bull Arena.

City took the lead in the 37th minute when Castello Lukeba inadvertently turned Nico O’Reilly’s low cross into his own net. Before that, Leipzig had threatened through Antonio Nusa, whose effort forced Gianluigi Donnarumma into a save, while Christoph Baumgartner fired narrowly wide from distance. Phil Foden also came close for City, sending his effort just wide from the edge of the box.

Leipzig equalised four minutes after the restart as Ridle Baku beat Donnarumma from a tight angle. Enzo Fernández restored City’s advantage in the 58th minute, but Nusa levelled three minutes later following Christopher Nkunku’s assist. Haaland eventually tapped in Elliot Anderson’s cross to secure City’s victory. David Raum struck the crossbar with a late free-kick, while Rayan Cherki also hit the woodwork.
