The first-placed Kenya Women’s Premier League (KWPL) side Kenya Police Bullets FC has announced the departure of their multifaceted attacking midfielder Mercy Njeri.

Mercy Njeri has penned a two-year deal with top Swedish outfit Djurgardens IF on an extravagant deal worth Kshs 875,000 weekly. This will make her the highest-paid Kenyan player.

Njeri has been key to Bullet’s title exploits in the current 2023-24 KWPL season helping her side to sit top of the log with 37 points. This is eight points clear of their closest competitor Ulinzi Starlets.
