Morogoro, Tanzania, gears up to host the 23rd FEASSA Games from August 12-23, 2026, uniting school athletes from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi in a regional showdown.
FEASSA Secretary General David Ngugi, fresh from inspecting venues, praised the city’s readiness. “Morogoro boasts solid sports facilities, standard pools, and ample lodging—perfect for a stellar event,” said Ngugi, also KSSSA head. Kenya enters as defending champs after toppling Uganda in last year’s Kakamega edition.
Strategic spots like Morogoro Teachers College (main venue), Sokoine University (cricket and boys’ teams), and others ensure smooth operations. Enhanced access via the Standard Gauge Railway will simplify travel for the 12-day meet.
Excitement brews over expansions: cricket, lacrosse, beach sports, cross-country, baseball for secondaries; handball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, cross-country for primaries. These upgrades, building on recent demos like beach volleyball and chess, head to KSSSA’s upcoming meetings for approval—promising a bigger, bolder FEASSA.
