Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville insists Arsenal have had a great season despite losing the title.

Arsenal are on the verge of losing the Premier League title after leading for almost 30 matchdays. After their loss to Brighton on Sunday, Manchester City need just one win to seal the title.

Sky Sports’ Neville has been vocal about Arsenal’s performances this season. In January, he received backlash from Arsenal fans after he said that the club would bottle the league toward the end of the season, something that has come to pass.

He took to his Twitter page after Arsenal’s loss but insisted Arsenal had also had a great season. “Arsenal have had a great season, but when the going got tough, they struggled. It seems now that the narrative is that the city’s strength, injuries, and a tough run-in are the causes. These are normal factors that need to be priced into a title race. Arsenal have dropped 12 points in seven games!” He wrote
