Kenya national football team Harambee Stars has been placed in group F of World Cup 2026 qualifiers together with Ivory Coast, Gabon, Gambia, Burundi and Seychelles.
This will be the first competitive international football since 2022 FIFA suspension was uplifted.
According to the new format that was introduced by FIFA, the matches will be played at home and away, then the top teams in each group will get direct ticket to 2026 World Cup that will be held in three nations that is Mexico, United States and Canada.
Best four teams that will finish in second place,will face each other in a continental play-off to determine the winner who will play against teams from different confederation in final play- off. The teams that will finish first and second in the final play-off will qualify for 2026 World Cup.
