Harambee Stars were honoured at the Business Daily Africa Top 40 Under 40 Men 2025 Awards following their impressive performance in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The national team received this recognition during a gala event held on December 5th at Nairobi’s Serena Hotel, celebrating their remarkable achievements and the unity they brought to Kenyan football fans.
Kenya made a memorable debut in the CHAN tournament, advancing to the quarter-finals with notable victories against strong teams such as Morocco, DR Congo, and Zambia. Despite a hard-fought exit on penalties against Madagascar, the team’s spirited display rekindled national pride and drew passionate support from thousands of fans at Kasarani Stadium.
Harambee Stars’ centre-back Sylvester Owino highlighted that the award acknowledges the team’s role in inspiring and uniting the country, beyond just their on-field success. Their campaign became a symbol of hope and togetherness, reinforcing the deep connection between the team and Kenyan supporters.
