Harambee stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to visiting side South Sudan at Kasarani yesterday.

Kenya police forward Titto Okello scored the only goal of the game in the second minute after pounding a mistake by Okumu before later slotting past rushing Harambee Stars goalkeeper Omondi.

Michael Olunga had a golden chance to level the score, but he could not capitalise on the opportunity. South Sudan managed to hold on to the 1-0 win over the Harambee stars.

The Harambee Stars head coach said his players started the game slowly “They were so nervous in the first ten minutes. I don’t know if it is because we were playing at home for the first time in two years. Okumu is one of the best defenders we have, and he rarely makes such mistakes, but this is football; it happens,” he said.
