Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has opened up about his failed move to West Ham.
Before the close of the transfer window, Manchester United and West Ham agreed on a fee worth £30 million, but Harry Maguire and West Ham failed to agree on personal terms.
He has not, however, started any game for United this season, and his latest appearance came during their 3-1 away loss to Arsenal.
He was, however, called to the England national team, came on as a substitute against Scotland, and scored an own goal.
Harry Maguire has now opened up about his desire to play club football. “I’ve not started a game in the first four games of the season; the story comes to me. I want to play football” . West Ham? We just didn’t come to an agreement. Man United were happy for me to stay, and I was happy to fight for my place”, he said.
