Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens has expressed his ambitions ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The England winger joined the Blues on a £52m deal from Borussia Dortmund last season. He failed to impress in a season marked by injuries and poor form under then-manager Enzo Maresca. He missed the end of last campaign due to a knee injury, which he insists is now fully recovered.
He has revealed that he is eager to impress in the new campaign under Xabi Alonso.

Speaking on whether he knows what Alonso wants from him,”He just wants me to keep being positive,to keep taking on players, to keep creating chances, and to keep pushing myself to the maximum.” He said.

He added that he feels loved and is hopeful to have a good season. “It has been hard because this was the first muscle injury I’ve had. I’m feeling much better; the hamstrings are good. I want to succeed here.I need to show people what I can do. I’ve shown small glimpses, I would say, but this season will be a good season,”He he said.
