Athletics Kenya via the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) has released the Paris 2024 Olympics Women’s Marathon roster.
Six elite women have made the cut which now serves well for a livewire marathon in the pinnacle Athletics event.
Defending champion Peres Jepchirchir will lead the team to Olympic glory. The third-placed London Marathoner last season will be hoping to sharpen her claws via the around-the-corner London Marathon.
Hellen Obiri who is rising through the ranks will be in the mix. She is the current New York and Boston Marathon holder.
The former World Record Holder Brigid Kosgei who has been rocked with injuries will be hoping to put behind her injury woes. She finished behind Peres Jepchirchir in the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Sharon Lokedi- the 2022 New York Marathon winner, Ruth Chepng’etich- the two-time Chicago Marathon winner, and Rosemary- the 2023 Tokyo Marathon winner are also on the roster.
