Kenya will host the Rugby U-20 Barthes Cup that is scheduled to kick off from April 22 to April 30th for the fourth time in a row, confirms KRU chairman Oduor Gangla.

Eight teams are set to take part in the tournament where the winner will represent the continent in the World Rugby Junior Trophy in July.

The teams are; Defending champions Zimbabwe, Namibia- last year’s finalists, hosts Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda, Zambia, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast.

The tournament will take three match days and the matches will be played in a knock-out phase. The quarter-finals will take place on April 22, the semis will be held on 26 and the final will take place on April 30.

“Our preparations have started and we would like to thank the government for supporting this venture as we bring together the best young talent on the continent to Nairobi,” revealed KRU chair Oduor Gangla.
