Rising Harambee Stars talent Job Ochieng has signed a two-year extension with La Liga’s Real Sociedad, committing to the Basque club through 2028. The youth academy announced it on X, with the senior team echoing the news, highlighting their trust in the speedy winger.
Just two weeks after his senior debut—subbing on in a 3-1 win over Elche CF and bench-warming against Real Madrid—Ochieng’s ascent continues. Since joining from Maspalomas in 2022, he’s progressed from Real Sociedad C (debut Feb 2023) to B in Segunda División, now breaking into the first team.
He’s the second Kenyan at Sociedad after McDonald Mariga, and third in La Liga history behind Michael Olunga. This deal cements Ochieng’s breakthrough and signals big things ahead for Kenya’s European prospect.
