Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence after Messi’s exit at PSG.
Lionel Messi left PSG on a free transfer at the end of the season and has since announced he will join Inter Miami in the MLS in the USA. Messi signed on a free transfer from Barcelona in 2021 and has had ups and downs in France.
Kylian Mbappe and Messi combined well in front of goal, as they combined for the most goals by any duo since they started playing together in 2021. However, some PSG fans booed Lionel Messi over the course of his time in France.
Speaking after Messi’s departure, Mbappe said that he is one of the best players to ever play: “He’s one of the greatest players in the history of football. It’s never good news when someone like Messi leaves”. I don’t quite understand why so many people were so relieved that he was gone. He didn’t get the respect he deserved in France”, he said.
