PSG forward Lionel Messi has apologized to PSG and his teammates after it emerged that he went to Saudi Arabia on a private visit without the permission of the club.
According to the Argentine World Cup winner, the trip had be cancelled several times and decided not to cancel it again, a move that sparked uproar in the club to an extended of sanctioning Messi’s suspension
““I thought we were going to have a day off after the game like always. I had this trip organized and I couldn’t cancel it. I apologize to my teammates and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do with me.” Said Messi.
This comes barely weeks after the star mentioned that he will leave PSG at at end of the season and already several top flight clubs have shown interest in him.
