Luis Diaz’s father has been revealed by Colombian kidnappers named ELN after his kidnapping.

The National Liberation Army (ELN) handed Luis Manuel Díaz over to United Nations and Catholic church officials. On October 28, he was kidnapped from Barrancas, the family’s homeland. Although taken into custody, the football player’s mother was released after a few hours.

According to the local media, Mr. Díaz arrived in Valledupar via military helicopter and was scheduled to receive a medical evaluation before being sent back to his family. Authorities were cited by them as stating that he was in good condition and showed no symptoms of maltreatment.

It comes as good news to Luis Diaz, who has been going through a tough period for the past month.
