Manchester City have set a record of winning five major trophies in one year after winning the Club World Cup. The Citizens became world champions after beating Brazilian side Fluminense 4-0 in the Club world cup final in Saudi Arabia.This marked their fifth trophy since the start of the year.

They won their first Champions League title in June after beating Inter Milan in the final in Istanbul, Turkey. After intense competition from Arsenal in the English Premier League title race last season, they finally managed to win their third consecutive league title. They also won the FA Cup after beating Manchester United in the FA final at Wembley and finally, they managed to win their first Supper Cup title after beating Sevilla.

To mark this success, Manchester city has launched a book called “The Year of big five” that has documented all the events and statistics in the City history, starting in 2011 when Manchester City shot to glory by winning upto to 15 trophies in total.
