Manchester United has agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Brazil midfielder Andrey Santos for a fee of £50m.
The Brazil midfielder who was left out of the 2026 World Cup squad was signed by Chelsea from Vasco da Gama before being sent on loan to Nottingham Forest. He was sent out on loan to the French side Strasbourg and joined the Chelsea team last summer. He has, however, struggled to get into the Chelsea first team, which contains midfielders Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
Last season, Santos featured in 43 games, mostly off the bench, and he had 3 goals and 4 assists. He is set to feature together with Ederson in midfield, especially after the departure of Casemiro to Inter Miami. United are in the market for a winger, with Summerville being the number one target, but the deal depends on the sale of Marcus Rashford.
