Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option of an additional year. He will replace David De Gea, who left the club after serving as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for 12 years.
The 27-year-old Cameroon international cost €51 million, with €4 million in potential add-ons based on performance both individually and collectively.
Speaking after signing for Manchester United, Andre Onana said, “To join Manchester United is an incredible honour, and I have worked hard all my life to get to this moment, overcoming many obstacles along the way.” He said.
Onana has completed his medicals, and he is set to join the rest of the squad in preseason games as the new season is about to kick off.
