Crystal Palace defeated Manchester United 4-0 in the Premier League on Monday night.
Michael Olise gave the home side Palace an early lead after a brilliant solo effort and beating Onana. Mateta gave Palace the second goal before halftime after beating Onana in his near post to give Palace a 2-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, United improved their game, with Garnacho and Hojlund having half chances, but none could capitalize. Palace got the third goal through Mitchell after poor defending from United. Michael Olise then scored his second goal of the game and fourth for Crystal Palace after Casemiro lost the ball in a dangerous position.
Speaking after the defeat, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag said they should keep fighting: “I will keep fighting. I have to do it with the players who are available.” There are reasons; everyone has seen our backline, but we have to deal with it.” “We should’ve kept fighting like the fans did.” He said.
