Liverpool defeated Fulham 1-0 at Anfield to earn their fifth straight Premier League victory, with Mohamed Salah scoring the game-winning strike.

Fulham were the better team in the first half and created many chances, but Allison stood strong to deny Harry Wilson’s strike. However, Issa Diop lost control of the ball and eventually tripped Darwin Nunez in his own box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Mohammed Salah stepped up and scored the winner.

Allison saved Liverpool the win after denying Bobby Reid’s effort late in the game, and he kept his first clean sheet in six games.

Jurgen Klopp insisted after the game that Liverpool still needed to improve. “They had a big chance, so they could have scored. We had moments in the first half when we should have scored. That’s how it is. You have to create. I saw a big fight and really good spirit, and the boys who came on were flying into the challenges. Of course, we can control the game in these moments better, but we can also improve. We have played much worse in the past.” He said.
