Moses Mudavadi has finally cleared the air as to why he failed to honor the Harambee Stars’ call-up sent by the team’s tactician Engin Firat.
According to Mudavadi, the call-up came at a very bad time since he was tending to some urgent family matters- he spoke during Kakamega Homeboyz’s friendly match against Luanda Villa at Mumboha grounds.
“It is important to communicate why I didn’t honor the invite because no one from the federation has made a follow-up to find out why I didn’t show up,” Mudavadi claimed.
The Kakamega Homeboyz’ talented midfielder further stated after his family issues were resolved, it was rather too late to link up with the Men’s national team.
However, the experienced player appreciated the call-up and felt gutted by how things turned out.
This was his second call-up to the national team in his career- the first was back in 2017.
“Before Kenya was suspended for two years in the international matches in 2017, I had a call-up to the national team but whatever happened is a story of another day,” he said.
