The multiple Marathon winner Hellen Obiri has expressed ‘regrets’ of hanging her track boots early.

Obiri who is the reigning Boston Marathon winner has stated that the current track athletes have an advantage to run faster times.

She highlighted the introduction of pacemakers, wave lights, new technology, and advanced racing shoes that have boosted the chances of running fast times.

The former 5k and 10k have a personal best of 14:18.37, and 30:10.02 respectively retrospect of what could have been.

“I feel like I would have done better, maybe a sub 14 and I feel like we missed the opportunity of doing great things. But now we can’t reverse and I feel like this year, ladies can run sub 14.

“Sometimes I feel bad but there is nothing I can do since I can’t go back and change how things used to be,” Obiri told Citius Mag.
