Newcastle United crashed out of the Champions League after their 2-1 home loss to AC Milan.

Eddie Howe side Newcastle needed a win to take them to the round of 16 stage. They scored the first goal through Joelinton after 33 minutes to climb up to second and hold a half-time lead.

In the second half, however, AC Milan levelled through Christian Pulisc, who was set up by Olivier Giroud, to make things more difficult for Newcastle. Samuel Chukwueze eventually scored the winning goal for AC Milan in the 84th minute to give Newcastle a heartbreak as they crashed out of Europe after finishing in the bottom of their champions league group.
