Vincent Nyaberi, Mara Sugar’s coach, has decided to step down just a fortnight into his role with the National Super League (NSL) side based in Trans Mara.In an announcement to the Star, Nyaberi revealed that Friday marked his final working day at Mara Sugar.

He expressed gratitude, stating, “Friday is my last working day at Mara Sugar. I want to thank them for giving me an opportunity, and I wish them well in their future endeavors.

“During his short stint at Mara, Nyaberi played a key role in the club’s success, securing victories against Dimba Patriots and MCF.In an interview, Nyaberi disclosed his next move to Yatta-based NSL outfit Mully Children’s Family (MCF). Assistant coach Godfrey Naibei will assume control for Mara Sugar’s match against Gusii FC at Awendo Green Stadium on Saturday.Nyaberi, a former defender, previously assisted Murang’a Seal in qualifying for the Kenyan Premier League, only to be replaced by Gabriel Kingi.MCF currently languish at the bottom of the second-tier league table with seven points from 11 outings, having won once, drawn four times, and lost five since the season’s commencement.

This weekend, MCF aims for their second win of the season as they host unbeaten Luanda Villa at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.At MCF, Nyaberi steps into the role previously held by Robert Orangi, who was let go due to a string of poor results.In a related development, Sofapaka’s assistant coach, Francis Xavier, has tendered his resignation just a month after being appointed as Ezekiel Akwana’s assistant.
