Chelsea advanced to the next round of the FA Cup after a 4-0 win over Hull City.
Liam Resonior’s side started well, and Liam Delap had the first chance as his interception hit the crossbar, but his second attempt was cleared. Caicedo then brilliantly released Garnacho, but his effort was well saved by Hull goalkeeper Phillips. Liam Miller then almost levelled after meeting a cross, but debutant Sarr was positioned to make the clearance. Chelsea then added the second goal from Pedro Neto’s corner kick, which appeared to not have touched anyone on the way. Estevao then became the youngest player for Chelsea to score in an FA Cup after finishing a lovely cutback by Liam Delap. Neto then completed his hat-trick in the final quarter with a chance from the edge of the box after another Delap layoff.
Speaking after his hat-trick, Pedro Neto was pleased with the performance. “I think the most important one is to enjoy it. I think if we enjoy it and we are with the right attitude and the pitch, we give no chances. So this is what we did today. “We play really good football against a really tough team, and we are really up with it,” he said.
