A battle of two titans stuttering towards the Premier League finish line clash at Anfield in Sunday’s headline battle, as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur both endeavour to rectify some recent mistakes.

Liverpool could see their title hopes crash and burn this weekend incase they suffer a defeat against Spurs while Spurs have to win or they will be eliminated from Champions League contention.

Liverpool drew 2-2 against West Ham United in their last match, a result that saw them lose more ground on Arsenal and Manchester City while Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat in the hands of Chelsea.

Liverpool currently occupies the third position with 75 points while Spurs occupies 5th position with 60 points.

The previous 5 meetings between the two sides Liverpool have managed to win two games, drawing two while only loosing once against spurs.

Ahead of tomorrow’s match,Liverpool’s absentees include Joel Matip, Ben Doak, Bobby Clark and Thiago Alcantara .

Klopp also confirmedĀ  in Friday’s pre-match press conference that Virgil van Dijk had not trained, so the availability of Dutchman remains uncertain.

However, Conor Bradley is now back in full training and is expected to be involved on Sunday, while Diogo Jota’s hip problem should clear up in time for him to make a May comeback, but the visit of Tottenham will come too soon for the Portuguese attacker.

On the other side, Spurs will miss Timo Werner and Ben Davies for the rest of the season joining the likes Ryan Sessegnon , Manor Solomon, Destiny Udogie and Fraser Forster.

James Maddison was sacrificed in midweek amid his loss of form, but the playmaker ought to come straight back into contention for the trip to Anfield, potentially replacing the ineffective Richarlison.

Anfield has been hell for Spurs as they have not managed to record a single win in the last five years while playing Liverpool at the stadium.

Liverpool and Spurs have been conceding a lot of goals lately, thus this match is anticipated to be a free-scoring match where the home record boosts Liverpool chances of demolishing Spurs but a draw at Anfield is also possible.
