Roma supporters attacked referee Anthony Taylor and his family as they tried to depart Budapest.

The Englishman received criticism for his performance in the Wednesday night Europa League final against Sevilla and Roma. Jose Mourinho was seen cursing at the referee in the Puskas Arena parking lot after the game, which Roma lost on penalties.

The Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho, waited for Antony Taylor after full-time before he began an x-rated rant toward the referee.

The referee body, PGMOL, released a statement regarding the incident. “PGMOL is aware of videos circulating on social media showing Anthony Taylor and his family being harassed and abused at Budapest Airport. We are appalled at the unjustified and abhorrent abuse directed at Anthony and his family as he tries to make his way home from refereeing the UEFA Europa League final.” He said.

Jose Mourinho faces punishment from UEFA after his rant, and UEFA is waiting for the full match report.
