In his final home game, the Brazilian came off the bench to salvage a point for the Liverpool side late in the game against Aston Villa.

While making his 361st appearance in a red shirt, he came close to a fairytale ending by scoring a last-second equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday evening. Jacob Ramsey had given the visitors, Aston Villa, the lead early in the game after Ollie Warkins penalty was saved.

Robert Firmino signed off at Anfield in style as he scored the equalizer in his last home game and bid farewell to the faithful.

Speaking after the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said they would miss the departures. “Both the contributions of Milly (Milner) and Bobby were crazy.”. “We saw what we will miss. That is how it is.” It is a story we wrote together; now we have to write a new story, and they have to write a new story. We have to step up leadership-wise without Milly.” He said.

After the draw, however, Liverpool cannot make the top four and will have to settle for the Europa League.
