Spanish midfielder Rodri has arrived in Barcelona ahead of a switch from Manchester City.
During his time at Manchester City, Rodri established himself as one of the best midfielders in world football. He won multiple major trophies, including four Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, two FA Community Shields, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. He was also instrumental in City’s historic treble-winning 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking to journalists at the airport, Rodri was happy to start. “I’m very happy to have arrived. The last few days have been intense, but I’m glad everything has been sorted out. Of course, playing for FC Barcelona is a dream,” Rodri told journalists at the airport on Monday. “I can’t wait to be with my teammates, many of whom I already know from the national team. It’s time to get to work and give my very best,”He said.
He is set to wear his famous number 16 after Fermin Lopez gave him his number and switched to number 7 left vacant by Ferran Torres.
