Trent Alexander-Arnold was yesterday unveiled as a Real Madrid signing from Liverpool.

The 26-year-old England fullback has joined the Spanish giants from Liverpool, where he has been since he was a kid. He had joined a month earlier, as his contract was to end on June 30th, and Madrid had paid a fee so he could play at the Club World Cup. He will wear the number 12 jersey number, as La Liga does not allow players to have jerseys exceeding 50.

Speaking at his unveiling, Trent insisted it was a dream come true for him as he went on to speak fluent Spanish. “Signing for a club like Real Madrid doesn’t happen every day. It’s a dream come true. I feel incredibly happy and proud to be here. I can’t wait to show all the Madridistas my football and give everything for this badge. I’m aware that playing for Real Madrid comes with great responsibility, and I’m ready to give everything for the team and for the Madridistas.” He said.

Madrid have been very active in the special transfer window just as the club World Cup is about to begin.
