Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano has reiterated that if they stand any chances of defending the FKF-PL title, converting chances creating in games has to be top-notch.

Matano’s side thumped Bidco United 3-1 on Thursday at Ruaraka Stadium to keep their title-clinching hopes alive. The victory propelled the Brewers to second place, eight points adrift of the log leaders Gor Mahia.

“Am not happy because we didn’t score many goals and missed many chances that came our way,” Matano said of the team’s inability to convert opportunities. “In the second half we had close to five chances to score but we didn’t. We have to be clinical and get ways to utilize our chances.”

Tusker have struggled with consistency this season – a situation that has seen them work harder this season to close the gap to log leaders Gor Mahia- but the last weeks have been promising as the side is now on a six match unbeaten league run and is through to the Mozzart Bet Cup Round of 16.
