Vinicius Jr has expressed his commitment to Real Madrid in the long-term project under Xabi Alonso.
Real Madrid finished top of the Club World Cup group after their 3-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg in the USA. The Brazilian star scored and assisted in the win as Madrid advanced to the knockoutstages. Madrid are now unbeaten under Xabi Alonso in the Club World Cup, having won two games and drawn one.
Speaking after being awarded the man of the match, Vinicius insisted Real Madrid is the club of his life: “Real Madrid is the club of my life! I hope to continue here for many, many years.” “I love Real Madrid. I owe everything to this club. Pressure and criticism are not a problem. I’m so happy with this club, the new coach Xabi and these players.” He said.
He also backed Xabi Alonso to succeed at the club. “Pressing the defenders is key; Xabi Alonso is telling us what to do day by day. It’s been two very good weeks. The team is playing more compact”. He said.
